How to Enter

The Publishing Innovation Awards are committed to quality titles that renders beautifully across devices and formats. Entries must be original digital content created by the entrant or their firm. There are no geographic restrictions on entries.

The Publishing Innovation Awards have closed for 2012.  Winners will be notified by 12/31/12.

Click on the Enter button to go to our online submission form. You’ll need to set up an account as part of this process – this will allow you to come back to your submission, add extra entries, and make modifications.

What files will I need?

For all ebook and enhanced ebook entries, you’ll need to submit all of the associated file formats for the ebook (with the exception of PDF). Most of the time, that means an ePub file and a Kindle (.azw) file. If your house does not produce or does not have access to the Kindle file in particular, but sells that title in the Kindle store, we will create one for you through Amazon’s KindleGen tool with all settings on default. For PIA and QED judging purposes, judges will compare how a title is designed, rather than just a single format.

For app entries that are published and publicly available, there is no need to submit a file. The cost of purchasing licenses of the app for the purposes of judging are included in your submission fee. We are unable to accept app entries pre-publication.

Can I submit a PDF ebook?

At this time, the Publishing Innovation Awards are not considering PDFs.

If a title is optimized for one device or ebookstore, you will have the ability to indicate that during the submission process.
